The opening of the sixth edition of the Sharjah International Children’s Film Festival (SICFF 2018), will be attended by H.H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and the ceremony will be held at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre (JRCC) in Sharjah on Sunday, 14th October 2018.
The six-day event is aiming to ignite the interest for cinema and media arts among young generations in the country. The film festival was organised by FUNN, the Sharjah-based organization. Many high profile guests including Menna Arafah and Karisma Kapoor will participate in the event.

The SICFF 2018 will be screen fifty- four films from 17 countries and the films cover several categories, including the Best Feature Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Animation Film, Best International Short Film, Best Student-Made Film, Best Short Arab Film, and the Best Child-Made Film.
