To promote the use of technology for better governance a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and the UAE. The senior officials of India’s Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency and United Arab Emirates’ Ministry for Artificial Intelligence (AI) signed in the Memorandum of Understanding.
Indian Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu said:
“India and the UAE are working together to use technology to improve government and governance, and also how to use technology in a convergence and confluence manner to help government,”
“It is an honour that the GovHack series event is being kicked off from India.”
The minister flagged off the UAE government’s GovHack series “hackathon” technologies startup competition which will be held in 8 major cities around the world. GovHack designed to motivate young minds, students and government employees and launched by the UAE Prime Minister’s Office.
The initiative aiming to develop smart initiatives and propose technological solutions to the most pressing global challenges all over the world.
