The women entrepreneurs in Pakistan counselled the new Pakistan government to make gender equity-focused policies in the coming days. Filza Mumtaz, Multan Women Chamber president stated that they have high hopes on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) government to make a delightful change in the country.
The suggestions that it should also take all stakeholders on board for revising the policies. Mumtaz also added that she hoped the authorities would reach out to women entrepreneurs to find out the reason for why they were not coming into the export business.
She pointed that chambers are the gateway entry to seek the problems faced by the business community. More women should come forward and give a relaxed rural policy. Filza also recommended to small and medium enterprises authority(SMEDA) a revision of the policies and taxation policies.
The new PTI female members of parliament are educated and would definitely do something for womenfolk in general and entrepreneurs in particular, she added. Many female authors have written material but they were unable to get it published because of financial constraints.
